Bracknell Cavaliers Golf Society

Bracknell Cavaliers have had a thriving Golf Society for over 20 years and currently have over 30 active members. Each member has a Society handicap with our membership ranging from handicaps of 28 down to nine. So whether you are a battle-worn low handicapper, a mid-range fair weather player or a hacker, you won't be alone!!

The Society play 10 monthly competitions (not January or November) at 'local' golf courses, usually less than 60 mins drive from Bracknell, including such courses as Downshire, Pine Ridge, Sherfield Oaks, Winter Hill, Bird Hills and Test Valley. Events are 18 holes with the exception of the Summer Trophy which is 36 holes.
Generally the days start with a Coffee and Bacon roll and refreshments after the event when the winners prizes are presented.

Over the course of the year we have 10 individual events, mainly Stableford competitions, which also combine with a Father & Son pairs event, a Summer and Winter Trophy, as well as playing a Grand Prix event earning championship points throughout the year. This is combined with regular team events, a Pairs and Singles Matchplay played in parallel and the regular Nearest the Pin challenge and occasional Longest Drive competitions.

The cost to join is £30 per annum, which provides the Society with enough funds to pay deposits to the golf clubs to book the dates. Prices for the golf events themselves generally range between £40 and £60.

If you are at all interested in playing regular golf with a great group of golfers of mixed abilities, where you like a little banter, please don't be shy and step forward - new members are very welcome.

Should you require any more details, please contact the Society Secretary - Steve Faulkner - on "stevefaulkner@live.co.uk".
